SEPTEMBER 2022 UPDATE - Redevelopment Plans get planning permission green light and we are absolutely delighted. After a busy winter maintenance period, the waterpark is once again ready to reopen for the 2022 fluming season, whilst that is always an exciting time, there is more reason to be excited here at Splashdown Quaywest. Currently with the planning department at Torbay Council, is an exciting set of plans which will see a major investment (£3million+) into the waterpark and the surrounding land, covered by the recently signed new lease. Whilst all these plans will be carried out in phases it means, that subject to planning, that a new slide and the huge upgrade to the families with younger children facilities could be open by next summer, we will be keeping our fingers crossed for that. After that, we hope to be putting in a new building for a leisure climbing facility and potential children's entertainment centre and role play village; a new seafront cafe and improvements to the external frontage of the buildings that form the Sunrise Beach and Snack store and Goldcoast Amusements. Beyond that the waterpark is scheduled to have a further three huge slides added to the eight already in existence - the UK's largest all outdoor waterpark will be bigger and better than ever! We will be adding more information about all that is happening here at Goodrington as we know more about whether our planning has been passed.
