Maintenance Ends, Holiday's Begin!

Close

The Mississippi Drifter will divert it's course outside this Easter holidays. Please note the Screamer Tower will remain closed until May.

With the Christmas holidays finally upon us it gives us another chance to reflect on another successful annual shutdown period.

Our maintenance teams' diary is busy year round, but once a year every year in December, we shut for two weeks and undertake bigger projects which can't be fulfilled in line with our opening hours, such as servicing the waterparks flumes. This year we have installed brand new showers, creating a new airy and fresh showering area for our customers to use. We have also given the balcony which customers use to access the rides on the first floor a facelift. Last year we introduced decorative wall panels in parts of our Cafe and Reception areas and we have continued using this across the balcony. Not only aesthetically pleasing, the panels have many practical benefits for example aiding our signage to help people find their way around the park.

There's no slowing down after the Christmas break, continuing on from their work this year, the operations team will be rolling out even more signage across the park to improve visitors' experiences at Dorset's favourite waterpark. In the New Year our maintenance teams will be working on the refurbishment in Lemur Landings, our sister attraction on Tower Park (you can find out more about this here - goo.gl/gZbV7D ) Shortly after finishing in the soft play, all hands will be on deck back in Splashdown servicing all the outside rides ready for the start of the 2017 fluming season.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal customers over the last twelve months and wish them a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
