Covid-19 Update

We plan to continue opening as normal this weekend.

First and foremost we hope your friends and families are all safe and well.

The Senior Management Team here at the Lemur Attractions Group have been meeting daily and closely following the government’s advice. The safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff is of paramount importance to us. At present, we have taken numerous actions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at our waterpark consistent with the government’s advice and recommendations. On top and above of our usual cleaning procedures, our staff have been regularly sanitising all touch points within our facility and we are sanitising the whole changing rooms at the end of each operational day, which includes each individual changing cubicle.

Over the last few days there have been several different reports published, but the Poole Water Treatment Advisory Group (PWTAG) have consulted with Public Health England and released the following advice. They say ‘We have checked with our national leads who confirm that coronavirus would be inactivated at the levels of chlorine used in swimming pools’. Read the full article here. It is safe to continue swimming, and this welcomed advice combined with our efforts to keep everything clean and sanitised would love to still see you splashing.

As mainly a seasonal business, this is a quiet time of year for us, but we will be keeping an extra close eye on numbers within our waterpark at any one time, however, we are relying on our visitors to give due regard to the social distancing guidelines and to keep their distance from other visitors, where possible.  We would urge anyone within a high-risk category (over 70’s, pregnant ladies, those with underlying health conditions) to consider visiting on a future date. If you have pre booked your visit, we will honour your admission to a more suitable date in the future.

As previously stated, we would like to encourage any customers to proceed to the toilets to wash their hands before entering the changing rooms and shower before entering the waterpark, helping us keep Splashdown a safe place to enjoy and most importantly be active and letting off some steam.

Of course, we will continue to track advice from both the government and Public Health England which may affect our decision to continue operating. But it is important that in this time of uncertainty, families and friends alike can enjoy some quality time out the house, away from work in a safe environment.

Please keep an eye on our website and Facebook page and we will keep you up to date as much as possible, as quickly as possible. For now, we continue to operate as best we can, being as safe as we can to keep you and all our staff fit and well.

If you wish to ask anything please contact us via our Facebook page or info@splashdownpoole.co.uk

Stay well.
